Grid Computing

It was grid computing ruled,before cloud computing came into picture.

In this article i would like to explain what is grid computing..:)

Let us assume that there is Company "A" in United States which has got a branch in India, in particular in Chennai.

Let us assume that Chennai office works between 8 A.M to night 8 P.M. After 8 P.M and Before 8 A.M all the computers in the chennai office would be ideal without any use.

And thats the time US office will function. Almost we have 24 hours difference between USA and India.

During that ideal time, US office will/can have access over the computers of Chennai office.

This is what we call is Grid Computing.

Grid Computing is nothing but accessing the ideal resources from the remote location for the computing purpose.

For instance if US office has 50 Computers, but it needs 100 computers for their work. During the ideal time of chennai office the required 50 computers can be used.

Under utilized resources can be made used using Grid Computing..:)
