FLOPS
The term FLOPS stands for FLoating-point Operations Per Second.
It is nothing but the measure of the performance of a computer per second in a large scale as billion instruction per second, million instruction per second etc.
Generally these numbers are represented as powers of 10.
10 to the power 3 is kilo flop, 10 to the power 6 is mega flop and so on...10 to the power 3 is 1000 ie the computer can process 1000 instructions per second.
IBM Roadrunner is one of the fastest computer which can process 10 to the power 64 instructions per second.
IBM Roadrunner requires 1 day current of the New york city for its 1 operation..!!
