Computer Science and Engineering..!!
Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most popular branch of Engineering which has a great impact in the society. Since I am a Post Graduate (M.E.,) in computer Science and Engineering, I would like to share my view on the prerequisite for joining in B.E or B.Tech., in computer science and engineering. This article would be very useful for the Higher Secondary students who are interested to take Computer Science as Major in under graduate level.
In general Computer Science and Engineering course deal with overall basic concepts of computer(The Machine),the actions that can be performed using the computer(The Machine), working of the computer(The Machine), Internals of the computer(The Machine),Applications of computer(The machine). In my blog, I have already narrated the major subjects that a computer science graduate undergo during the course.
Things which has to be enhanced or things which has to be known before joining Computer Science and Engineering are
1. You need to have basic awareness on the working of computer and about parts of the computer
2. You need to have basic awareness about the terms "Hardware and Software"
3. Kindly enhance the basic programming skills which you might have studied during the High school. If you do not belong to computer science group, Kindly read some books or attend some class to get the basic idea on programming skills.
4. Read more on the current scenario of computer science and engineering and have clear idea on "Your role with computer science and engineering"
5. Kindly go through the syllabus of Computer Science and Engineering from the university website and try to be aware on what are the subjects which your going to study during the course.
6. Have a clear about "What you want to be after completing computer science and engineering" and then start your course.
7. Enhance your reading, writing and presentation skill.
8. Enhance your observing and analytic skills. Skill enhancement will have large impact during your course.
9. Kindly do not choose computer science and engineering due the compulsion or the other engineering course you opted was not available. Kindly choose CSE only if you have passion and interest towards it. Because it is ever blooming Engineering which needs constant update. Unless there is interest or passion for Computer Science and Engineering, you cannot survive.
10. Be strong to face the real time challenges and growth which occurs each and every minute.
I guess this post would be useful for Higher Secondary students.
