Late in 2010, it was predicted that cloud computing will be the biggest game changer in the information and technology sector. As predicted, it became the game changer for many organization in the IT sector. Increase in the number of startup companies is the biggest evidence for the growth of cloud computing in the past 7 years.
There is also a constant increase in the investment on cloud technologies among the major players. Success ratio of the cloud adoption in terms of high quality service and cost reduction, more and more investments are made on cloud related technology. And cloud technologies also has undergone tremendous changes in the recent year. We have moved to another dimension in the cloud technologies, where
"People have started thinking about cost reduction in cloud"
Increase in the number of service providers and influence of open source technology in cloud are the biggest reason for the organization to think about the cost reduction in cloud. Among all the efforts on the cost reduction process, from 2018 it is predicted that organizations will start implementing multiple service providers based upon the cost.
Base for the this hybrid cloud infrastructure will not be a new concept for the organizations, as they were using multiple service providers on the premise environment. Apart from the cost reduction factor, moving towards hybrid service provider will also reduce the dependency on one particular service provider. This will also lead to 'increase quality of service' from the service providers.
Illustration:
The three major top players of cloud are Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google cloud platform. Apart from these players, few organizations have adopted cloud via other service providers such as Zoho, OpenStack, OpenNebula etc., Each and ever cloud service provider have some unique feature and have different cost models. Adoption of multiple service provider will also enhance the quality of service among the service providers.
And I hope, I have tried convincing you by sharing one of the important transformation in Cloud. In the following articles, I will share the other important transformations which is going to happen in the cloud.
