Google Chrome is one of the most popular free web browser, which was introduced in the year 2008 by Google. In the tough competition scenario, Googles Chrome made everything easily and pushed everything aside to be the most popular web browser. As of November 2016 statistics, 63% percentage of the Internet uses Google Chrome. This shows the popularity of the Google Chrome.  Security is one major reason, which made 'Google Chrome' popular among the people from Software Industry. User friendly Graphical User Interface and marketing by google are the two major reason for the popularity of Google Chrome.




Beyond the basic operations, there are plenty of features available in the Google. Let’s unfold the, underutilized features of Google chrome via this article.

Performance Analysis:

In the business competitive world, it has become essential for everyone to provide quality product to the customers. Quality assurance has become major frontier in the Information and Technology sector. One major activity of Quality assurance is Performance analysis. There are multiple tools available in the market for performance analysis, especially for web applications. Google chrome also have the feature to analyze the performance of a website. Since it is a free web browser, we can add additional features to the Google chrome using the developer’s option. Follow the below steps to check the performance of the website.

Step 1: Select the three vertical dots which is located in the top right side of the Google chrome browser

Step 2: Select More tools in the drop down list

Step 3: Select Developer tools in the sub option

Step 4: Select network option tab

Step 5: Select Record button (Left corner)

Step 6: Navigate in your browser to the website to which you need to check the performance.

Step 7: Stop the recording

Step 8: You can see the m/s taken as the result of the process.


Using the Profiles option in the same developer’s tool will enable the user record the web scrapping as Java script, which can be downloaded to the local computer and utilized in the future. Source tab under the developer’s tool will enable to user to view the source code of the website (front end). Elements under the developer’s tool will enable the user to view the front end design of the website through which the screen scrapping was done.
